Coastal Carolina Lineman Training Program

On July 20, District Training & Safety Supervisors Nick Carroll and Jeff Vaughn traveled to Jacksonville, North Carolina to help train apprentices attending the Coastal Carolina Lineman Training Program. This program prepares military veterans to transition from their Military Occupational Skill (MOS) to a civilian trade. ULCS has been working with the Coastal Carolina Community College on this program for more than four years.

Every year, employees from ULCS’s Training & Safety Team lead at least three classes for the Training Program. These classes include live-line training, minimum approach distance training and cover-up awareness/familiarization training. In addition to these classes, a full day is scheduled for District Training & Safety Supervisor Bryan Patrick, ULCS’s safety and human performance expert, to teach the principles of human performance.

ULCS is proud to continue to support Coastal Carolina Community College and its Lineman Training Program.
