In an effort to provide a positive leadership culture, ULCS has developed
and begun delivering the Leadership Development Training for our frontline leaders. Our training is a 1.5 day course that consists of training in areas
such as:
- What is the role of a leader
- How to manage different personalities
- Effective communication practices
- Managing change/conflict
- Coaching/motivating
- Providing clear work direction
On December 6, 2021, ULCS held its first-ever Leadership Development Training class in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Airport Hilton Garden Inn. Participating in this class were 26 executives and managers from ULCS and Musgrove Construction. The goal is to train all employees with a leadership position, from foreperson upward, in the company. We began with the management team so they can be familiar with the course and provide support and testimony to their peers.
There are 22 training classes scheduled throughout the year in hopes to complete the first round by August 2022. As more leaders join our team, an annual training class will be held as well as a re-occurring leadership refresher course.
Building an organizational chart filled with “Effective Leadership” is a great investment in our employees. We believe this training will help our employees grow as leaders at every level of the organization.
